Meet the President & CEO Robert Nomberg

Robert is a lifelong educator who is just as passionate today to the commitment that every child should have access to an excellent education as he was when he first taught over 25 years ago. Serving as the founding president and CEO of Virginia Learns, Robert is responsible for creating the organization's vision as he builds and strengthens Virginia Learns’ partnerships with leaders in education and the business community across Virginia. Robert is a Teach For America alumnus who taught high school math and science and coached football, a former public school administrator trained in the New Leaders for New Schools program where he worked for the Washington, DC schools, and the education and workforce development advisor to former Alabama Governor Don Siegelman. Robert earned a B.S. from the University of Alabama and masters degrees in public administration from the University of Michigan and education administration from Trinity University and a doctoral degree in Educational Leadership and Administration from The George Washington University.
